Ronnie Morley- Chair, Ronnie was Co-opted in May 2018. Ronnie is the PC representative on the Sinclair Pavilion Committee. She has lived in Cleeve on 3 separate occasions but these total 37 years. Interesting fact, Ronnie is the joint captain of Cleeve Cameos skittle team and once scored a double flopper!
Colin Knowles Colin worked as an IT specialist at the University of Bristol for 20 years before moving to Cleeve on his retirement in 2017. He is a founder member of Cleeve Speedwatch and also acts as Chair for the CleeveCommunity2050 group. He is an enthusiastic climber, a local activist for the British Mountaineering Council, and loves wildlife and nature.
Hilary Burn- Hilary has been on the council since 1998 and has put an incredible amount of time in to the PC helping to push back against Bristol Airport expansion plans, she is also Chair of the Parish Council Airport Association. Hilary has lived in Cleeve since 1984 and is very interested in climate change and stopping the airport from expanding -environmentalist activist. Hilary strongly believes we should leave the environment in a better state then we find it in for the next generation.
George Stringer- George sits on the Village Hall committee and keeps us up to date with any projects they are undertaking. George and his wife came to live in Cleeve in May 2001 & he joined Cleeve PC following the Local Election in May 2003.
Previously he lived in Yatton for 32 years and served on the Parish Council there for 8 years. Since retiring from the Civil Service George has had a varied number of part-time jobs including Christmas employment at Cadbury Garden Centre, car parking and aircraft cleaning at Bristol Airport and working on the platforms at Bristol Temple Meads Station.
Marianne Pitman- Marianne has been on the council for 15 years. She lived in Cleeve until she was seven because her family ran the butchers (now the wool shop). Marianne moved back in 1993. She is the representative for Cleeve PC on the Yatton Charities committee, she is also involved in Yatton Local History Society.
Geoff Pritchard- Born and spent his childhood in nearby Lower Claverham and Claverham, moving to Cleeve in 1976 and then, just over the border, to Wrington Hill in 1983. Geoff has maintained his strong links with Cleeve. A one-time committee member of ‘Cleeve Community Group’ and more recently, as editor of ‘All About Cleeve’. As a country person at heart, Geoff is strongly opposed to any inappropriate over development in Cleeve and the surrounding area.
Debs Lister Debs Lister and her husband choose to settle down in Cleeve in
2006 after 20+ years of postings around Great Britain due to his service in the
Royal Air Force. Debs is keen on helping support the local community and
initially joined Cleeve Parish Council in Feb 2017, unfortunatley due to life
events she was unable to dedicate sufficient effort and resigned in autumn
2020. Debs rejoined CPC in June 2024. She is passionate about dogs and
enjoys spending quality training/fun time with her dog crew at home and out and
about.
Andy Warren - Clerk- Andy became Parish Clerk in August 2020. Having spent 36 years with NatWest in Cardiff, Bristol and, finally North Devon, Andy then embarked on a career change becoming Practice Business Manager for a Medical Group in Mid Devon. For 6 years until 2020 Andy worked as a Mortgage Adviser. He is also Parish Clerk for Brockley.
Andy is married and has lived with his wife in Yatton since 2011. He is a former Yatton Parish Councillor and, like Marianne, is a committee member of Yatton Local History Society.
