The Parish Council normally meets every month (with the exception of August and December when there are no meetings) on the second Tuesday with a start time of 7:30pm at Cleeve Village Hall. All Council meetings are open to the public, although the public may be asked to leave when confidential business such as appointment of staff is being discussed. There is a short period near the beginning of the every Council meeting where members of the public can make statements or ask questions.

The Annual General Meeting of the Council is usually held in May, except in an ordinary election year when the meeting must be held within 14 days of the Councillors coming into office. The business transacted at this meeting is as follows: the election of the Chairman and the signing of the acceptance of office, the election of the Vice-Chairman, the appointment of Members to each of the Committees and to outside organisations as well as all other usual monthly business.

 As a way to help with community engagement will always offer a public speaking section near the beginning of our agenda. This is an opportunity to raise any concerns, questions or feedback. If there are quite a few people wishing to speak we may have to limit each person to three minutes.  

Important note: The minutes which appear shortly after the last meeting are watermarked as DRAFT. This means they can still be edited. We publish them to follow good practise and guidelines in the Transparency Act. Until the minutes are agreed at the following meeting by full Council and signed they may change.
